By using Bone Compass services, a Division of Aesir Health, you understand that Aesir Health is a provider of allied medical services. Cortex Health is the Australian supplier of Echolight, a TGA approved registered medical device for the measurement of bone mineral density and subsequently the diagnosis and detection of osteoporosis. Cortex Health is NOT a registered provider of medical services.
A Radiofrequency echographic multi spectrometry (REMS) scan via Echolight is a non-invasive procedure and performed by a trained technician. Bone Compass is obligated to and will send the report/s to you and your nominated health care practitioner.
REMS is TGA approved to diagnosis osteoporosis, osteopenoia or normal bone as well as give a T-score, Z-score and BMD (g/cm2). A description of the technology, the TGA Certificate, pivotal studies and other clinical evidence can be found here https://echolight.com.au/specifications/
1) You understand that this scan is designed to be an ancillary health aid and Bone Compass and any advice given should not be construed as a substitute for medical examination, diagnosis, or treatment and that you should see a qualified medical specialist for the interpretation of the REMS report. You understand that Bone Compass or AesirHealth technicians are not qualified to diagnose, prescribe, or treat any physical or emotional conditions and that nothing said during this scan should be construed as such.
2) By using these services you acknowledge your consent to the performance of the proposed scan by my technician at Bone Compass. You are able to withdraw your consent at any time.
3) You consent to Bone Compass and Aesir Health using your deidentified data for research and reporting purposes. You understand that you can withdraw your consent at any time. – If you would like to opt out this can be done on the Patient Form after making a booking.
