Topics will include nutrition, exercise, and lifestyle advice. Whether you’re seeking to prevent bone issues or manage existing conditions, our resources will help guide you on your journey.

We will be building this page so please register for updates.

When we publish new information here, if you have registered, you will be sent an email with the link to the latest news story and information.

If you need information now, we would strongly recommend that you visit Health Bones Australia (Osteoporosis Prevention – Healthy Bones for Life without Fracture (healthybonesaustralia.org.au) whom we recommend as a foundation guide for accurate and published information.

Our patients ask us all the time “What can I do to improve my bones?”.  There are three primary recognised factors which can have a positive influence on bone health; Exercise, Nutrition and Medication.  Determining what combination is best for you is a discussion between you and your clinical team.

Exercise.

There is substantial evidence for the positive impact of resistance exercises in improving bone health.  Healthy Bones Australia have updated their Exercise Statement for Physiologists and Physiotherapists (Feb 2024). It is an excellent publication lead by Prof Belinda Beck.
