The Bone Compass group has been established to provide REMS scanning clinics for bone densitometry.
Our aim is to be a trusted partner to clinicians in the diagnosis and management of bone disease for their patients and a respected provider to individuals referred to us.
We have chosen REMS technology because of the extensive clinical research and the increasing acceptance worldwide for the diagnostic accuracy for osteoporosis and the advancement in bone health care.
Founded by Melbourne medical scientists Dr. David Tognarini (PhD) and Dr. Sherif Youssef (PhD), who embrace the philosophy of “Focus on the Medicine, Focus on the Patient,” their rigorous assessments led them to recognise that REMS and Echolight technology were critically needed in Australia to address an unmet need.
As scientists, we are looking to further enhance the knowledge about Bone health through our own research and findings which we will present to the medical communities.
Equally passionate about patient education, the Bone Compass group recognises that it has a place to endorse Australian guidelines and best practice from Australian leading experts.

Bone Compass is looking for like minded Healthcare professionals who see themselves as becoming a Provider of these REMS scans. This involves purchasing a device, undergoing training, collaboration and joining our network to be your location Provider of REMS scans.

The next steps for Bone Compass involve expanding our REMS scanning clinics to more locations, increasing accessibility to advanced bone health assessments. We plan to collaborate with more healthcare providers to integrate REMS technology into their diagnostic and treatment protocols.
Additionally, we aim to participate in and contribute to further clinical research to continue validating and improving the effectiveness of REMS technology in bone health care. This is especially important in various patient populations who can not be exposed to radiation or for whom the traditional DXA scan has known limitations.
Our ultimate goal is to become a leader in bone densitometry services to enhance patient care through innovative, accurate and reliable technology.
